It’s that time of year again—when flour dust flies, frosting becomes structural, and entire skylines are built out of gingerbread! The Hoard Historical Museum is thrilled to host the 10th Annual Gingerbread House Contest, and we invite individuals, families, clubs, classrooms, businesses, and groups of all ages to take part. Whether you’re a frosting architect, a candy engineer, or someone who simply loves tradition, this contest is the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season.
This year’s theme remains simple: create your favorite house, barn, or building entirely out of gingerbread—the rest is up to your imagination! Entries can be whimsical made-from-scratch originals or faithful replicas of any real or fictional building (yes, everything from your grandma’s farmhouse to Hogwarts is fair game). With no age limits and no entry fee, this is your chance to show off your creative spirit.
All entries will be on display during regular museum hours, making the Hoard Historical Museum extra festive as our community comes together to enjoy these sugary masterpieces. We can’t wait to see what incredible designs you bake up!
