There are many opportunities to volunteer at the Hoard Historical Museum. Schedules are flexible. Contact Tammy Doellstedt at tammyd@hoardmuseum.org or 920-563-7769 for more information and to request an application form.
- Museum Greeters: Museum Greeters welcome guests to the museum, provide information, answer questions, and serve as Goodwill Ambassadors for our community. Click here to see the Greeter Information Page. (Contact Tammy for access password.)
-
- Tour Guides: Tour Guides are stationed in specific gallery areas primarily during adult and youth group tours, but also during special events and other times of high visitor traffic. Duties include providing information about the exhibit in an interactive way. Museum staff help you learn everything you need to know to be a happy teaching assistant. Promise!
-
- Archive Assistants: Archive assistants work in the museum's Knox Research Library & Archive, Tuesdays through Saturdays. There are two shifts per day: 10:00 to 1:00, and 1:00 to 4:00. Duties include greeting visitors to the library; helping visitors sign in and define their research needs; helping them with the card catalog and notebook indexes; alerting staff when historical items are needed by researchers from secure storage; supervising the use of reference materials; and assisting with directed historical research for the museum's programs and exhibits.
